Anyway, the point is this: I'm going to be making a solid effort to make 2008 a better year, in every possible way. I'm making resolutions -- not the super-strict rules you "break" in a week, but guidelines for the year to come. the_gneech happened to phrase it quite well this morning: "A resolution, when done properly, is a goal to be met... a statement of intent, a roadmap for where you plan to focus your energies in the upcoming year." Sounds like a good idea to me. If I'd had a better idea of where I was trying to go, 2007 might not have been such a jumble.
Rather than list my resolutions all at once
1) I will be more active on my personal journal. Posting regularly, responding to comments, posting comments on other people's posts... I'm going to aim for at least a post a day, but if I slip, I won't beat myself up. And I'd like to start doing birthday posts like a lot of people do. I did that for a little while, but it petered out swiftly.
Well, there's plenty more I could talk about, but it's getting late, so I think I'll turn in for the night. (An early shift tomorrow, and I have to ride my bike, as the buses aren't running.) Happy new year, everyone.
