[Thoughts] Dreams and Merchandising

Hello, everyone! I know it's a bit late, but Happy New Year! I've been working on Forrester Labs lately, of course, and now that I have a few days off of work I'll like as not get some stuff done. Right now I'm composing a first post for the Inventor's Log on my site. The Log there is going to be the same as the Log here, pretty much. I wanted a copy of my journal on my personal site, but I also didn't want to abandon LiveJournal. So I'll be making the same posts in both places.

Anyway, like I said, I'm writing a first post for the other Log. It's basically going to be an introductory post, about who I am and what my life's like right now, and you probably know most of that already if you've been reading for more than a few days. So in its place here, I'll be talking about a couple random things.

Had a dream last night that was practically fodder for bad_rpers_suck. I was playing in a tabletop RPG with a few people (although it kinda wavered between IC and OOC), and I was seriously godmoding it. I eventually failed to shoot a gun out of a woman's hand and she got me between the eyes -- which didn't kill me permanently. I was given a sheet of paper with details on it about how my character would return. At first I thought it said "Your character will return in 10d8 minutes to save the day in a dramatic scene" but the text on both sides of the paper changed after I read that. (And yes, contrary to what Batman: TAS has taught us, I am able to read in dreams.)

Now, I have a question for everybody on my list. (Incidentally, thanks so much for answering the web browser poll. I've now got five browsers installed for testing, and Forrester Labs looks good in all of them. ^_^) Last November I made myself a bracelet to wear, inspired by the black-and-white beaded bracelet I made for my Kyo cosplay:

I ended up making three more of them, in various color schemes:

And I've been wearing them ever since. A while back, I had the red-and-black bracelet on at work, and a woman complimented me on it. When I told her I'd made it myself, she said I should consider selling them.

So I put the question to you: is this the kind of thing you might buy? It's basically just wooden beads, painted and strung on transparent cord. I've got some crimping beads that I use to clip the ends together, so they're not just knotted like their first incarnations. If I were doing this, I'd take custom color choices, bead sizes, and cord lengths, and I'd find a way to keep the paint from chipping off so easily (some sort of spray, right?). I can't imagine they'd cost more than maybe $6 and shipping. If you all could give me your opinion on that, I'd be grateful.

Okay! Coming up is my intro post on the other Inventor's Log, and then I'll do that year-in-review meme and an account of the first five days of my new year!
