[Life] Confession

I told her.

That's right. Her. The woman I wrote the poems about.

It's such an incredible relief. Whatever happens from here on, whether we stay friends or become more, I told her. That's more than I've ever done in my life, and those may well have been the bravest words I ever spoke typed.

And now, to come down from the anxious mood I was in all day. *collapses in a handy chair*

Feeling: exhausted exhausted and happy
Listening to: move - Romancing Train

Yay! Good for you. Not only was it brave, you won't be in the limbo-land of wishing and hoping. No matter what, letting her know is the very best thing to do.

Thanks. Yeah, one of the best things about this is that I'm not wondering any more. I know. And she knows. And the situation isn't perfect, but it's good.

There is a saying - there is no braver soul than the one that kisses first - I would say the same is for the one that tells his hearts desire that he loves. Bravo to you, my sir. I drink a toast to you. The world needs all the romance it can get.

*bows slightly* Thank you very much.

The world needs all the romance it can get.

Now this is a statement I can get behind. *grin*

Yeah! Go Shay! The biggest risk in life is never taking a risk, you know ;)

I do believe I've heard that, somewhere. *grin* Thanks.

Very true. I have a history of, well, not taking risks. But there are some that just have to be taken.

Any reaction yet? :D

Well, she used, among other adjectives, 'touched', 'flattered', and 'amazed'. *blushbeam* But on the other hand, she's had bad experience with long-distance relationships. So if anything happens, it may not be for a long time.

(Y'know, it's been my plan ever since high school to move out of Michigan after I graduated. And the place she lives wasn't originally on my list of possible places to go, but...)

Well, seems a fair start. :D Just go slow, be paitent, and see how it all goes. (Besides, as an Ohio State fan, I can ALWAYS support getting out of Michigan.)

Slow and patient. *nod* Absolutely. The last thing I want to do is make her uncomfortable.

(*snicker* Don't get me wrong, I like it here, but I'd really like to travel more. See some places and a certain person I've never seen before.)

Copper Harbor was nice enough, but the UP and yooper bars can't justify living in the state for all that long. :D

The world's a big place. Never hurts to walk around in it.

Congrats. Regretting what you haven't done is always going to suck - and it takes courage to escape that.

Thanks for the congratulations. *smile* I can tell you now, whatever happens, I won't ever regret last night.

Go you!

It is always such a relief to have said it.

So true! It took me five minutes just to say it last night, and I was so tense -- and then I finally hit enter and almost collapsed into my desk chair. And it just got easier as the night went on. *smile*
